One of the greatest places to live out your faith is your workplace. At church, you are primarily around Christians, but your work environment gives you the opportunity to be a light for Christ to unbelievers and believers.
Chad Merrill, founder of Impact 2:52 and CEO of the Fellowship of Companies for Christ International, explains,
“Not everyone goes to church, but many people go to an office or work from home. Your workplace is an opportunity to be a positive influence on your fellow employees, customers, and vendors.”
Thousands of years earlier, the apostle Paul shares a foundation for this sentiment when he writes to the church of Colossae,
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the Name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
Your workplace is one of the greatest areas of your life where your words and deeds can reflect a Christlike character and serve as a witness to the transformational work God has done in your life and can do in the lives of others.
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Your workplace is an important place to impact others for Christ.
