Integrity is a life-long race, and God desires for you to finish well. Paul writes,
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1-2
God wants you to cast off everything that hinders you and the sin that entangles so you can run the race of life and maintain integrity.
But, how do you do this?
Commitment. The first step is an absolute commitment to integrity in all circumstances. Have you resolved to live a life of integrity in every area of your life?
Accountability. The second step is to find accountability not only for your actions, but also for your attitudes and decisions. Do you have two or three people whom you trust and whom will hold you accountable to a life of integrity?
Focus. Finally, like Paul, you must focus on finishing well by keeping your “eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” Do you have your eyes solidly fixed on Jesus and the finish line?
Will you answer God’s call to a life of integrity? If yes, you will experience the power and presence of God in your life. You will experience the blessings of a life of integrity.
