God’s path for our lives often includes plans we could have never imagined for ourself. That’s exactly what happened in my life when I had the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Akbar Haqq, an evangelist who served under Dr. Billy Graham. Dr. Akbar gave me the invaluable invitation to run a ministry of leadership development in India with the Institute of Evangelism for South Asia.

This sparked my passion for
leadership, and the flame quickly
began to burn in my heart.

Then Dr. Akbar invited me to help with the Billy Graham Crusades to reach the lost. The turning point in my ministry and belief in God’s calling on my life came when Dr. Akbar was unable to make it in time for one of the crusades. I never dreamed of leading a crusade, but I was asked to take over in his absence. Although the challenge before me was great, I knew God’s grace was greater. He gave me the strength to lead, and the rest is history. Billy Graham paved the way and poured into Dr. Akbar Haqq’s life and ministry, who then poured into mine. Now, I am committed to do the same for others so the Gospel can be spread.
