EUROPE ABLAZE WITH THE GOSPEL

Barcelona, Spain. Right now, Joy and I are with 90 leaders from 21 European nations and the USA in one of Europe’s greatest cities. God is moving, and we are daring to ask Him to use this week to change history. Most of the leaders here are under the age of 35. They are passionate and motivated, and they believe that God has raised them up for this hour.

Ten and a half years ago, it was a vastly different picture.

ILI’s work in Europe was shaken to the core when Dr. Rob Frost of London died after a relatively short battle with cancer.

The day after Rob’s funeral, Joy and I, still numb with grief, met with Martin Durham at a restaurant in downtown London. Martin said, “I will take up the challenge. We will have to restart and build from the ground up. The vision will be Europe ablaze with the Gospel. It will not be easy, but it must be done.”

We prayed that day and recommitted ourselves to God’s work. It was like putting a fresh seed into the ground.  Month by month, year upon year, Martin and the Europe Team have stayed true to the vision, and now, a decade later, we are in Barcelona hearing powerful testimonies and seeking God for the next steps.

One of the most important life lessons I have learned
is the significance of vision.

Vision is a God-given ability to look into the future and see what is possible. How is it with your life? Are you living by the power of vision or are you allowing everyday pressures to obstruct your view?

If you know God’s vision for your life, I would love to hear from you. Write  it in the comments below and share with me. Or if you don’t know God’s vision, send me an email, and I will share with you some ideas on how you can discover it.

Together, let’s dare to ask God for His vision for our lives.
