Kevin Vickers stood in a room full of people visually impaired and watched them touch God’s truth as their fingers deftly ran across the raised dots of the braille version of Christian to the Core.
When God prompted Kevin to create an accessible version of this discipleship resource, he didn't hesitate. He reached out to the Torch Trust to publish both braille and a large print version. Shortly after, a conference was organized, and the vision Kevin received from God was brought to life.
Excitement filled the room as participants were able to read the material for themselves and fully engage in the teaching and discussion.
In Luke 4:18-19, Jesus said,
"HE HAS SENT ME TO PROCLAIM FREEDOM FOR THE PRISONERS AND RECOVERY OS SIGHT FOR THE BLIND, TO SET THE OPPRESSED FREE, TO PROCLAIM THE YEAR OF THE LORD'S FAVOR."
God’s path for meeting this need was asking Kevin to take action and serve those with a visual impairment.
