Dennis Downing has been serving the Lord in Recife, Brazil for 30 years. He’s part of the Oak Hills Church family reaching out to the world from San Antonio, TX. Mike Oakes, the Missions Pastor at Oak Hills, encouraged Dennis to attend an ILI conference in Brazil. Juan Bravo serves as ILI’s Director for Colombia. Though Juan has experienced his share of trials, including being shot in the streets of Medellín, Colombia when drug cartels ruled the city, the Lord has given him a passion to raise up leaders equipped to spread the Gospel and transform their culture. While his home country of Colombia is his focus, Juan has a passion for all of Latin America.

In today's podcast episode, Juan shares how he came to Christ and is now one of ILI’s “leaders equipping leaders.” He has great insight into the need of the Latin American people and how the Gospel can change both lives and culture.

David Thagana is the ILI International Director for English-Speaking Africa, and he has a passion to see the Gospel spread. David and his wife, Joyce, attended ILI’s first International Conference in 2001. Since then, they have continued to pursue the Great Commission by founding Glory Outreach Assembly (GOA) — a network of over 135 churches in East Africa pursuing the unreached with the Gospel of Christ.
